How much will a new website cost?

Each website we design is uniquely created to the requirements of the client therefore we do not give a set price without first discussing those requirements.

However, if, for instance, there is a particular site that you would like us to base your new site on, or if you want us to re-design a set amount of web pages with existing content, please send though the details using our online contact form and we will be able to give an accurate quote for the work undertaken.

We are also able to offer a 'starter website' package that enables small businesses and individual users the opportunity to have their own website on the internet.

This package includes a unique web address, a web page and a contact e-mail address and is available for £150. Please view our example starter website page to find out more and to see an example of the type of site we can offer.

Can you work with an existing logo or design?

Yes. The website can be designed to compliment an existing logo or corporate brand, and any existing artwork you wish to supply can be used in this design.

Can you design a new logo?

Yes, if required, a new logo can be created for the website. If this was not included in the original quotation there will be an additional charge for the work undertaken.

Do I own the rights to the logo?

Yes. All artwork, including logos and other website images, commissioned by Forwest are owned by the customer.

What is search engine optimisation (SEO)?

The term SEO typically refers to a broad range of methods whose aim is to improve the amount and value of traffic (viewers) to a website. Please see our article explaining SEO for more information.

Why does my website look different on another computer / monitor?

Monitors can be set up to use a variety of display resolutions, which are measured in pixels. Common examples include 800x600 pixels, 1024x768 pixels and 1280x1024 pixels.

When a website is designed, the width is (usually) specified in pixels, and any images used in the design of the site are also interpreted in pixels.

If the width does not match the viewers display resolution then the layout will not fit quite as well as it should. For more information, see our article "Why is my website a different size...?"

An alternative is to specify the width of the website as a percentage, however, this method also moves the content as the layout is stretched to fit different resolutions. See our website layout page.
